Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support students in an elementary school setting located in Poland, Maine. This full-time, contract position spans the entire school year, beginning August 25th. The role involves managing a caseload of students from kindergarten through eighth grade, providing tailored support and specialized instruction on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction aligned with students IEP goals.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to create supportive learning environments.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records for compliance and reporting.
- Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning needs.
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and school activities as required.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification.
- Experience working with K-8 students in a special education setting.
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
