To operate and maintain equipment in a manufacturing environment. Responsible for meeting plant targets for safety, quality, efficiency, and cost reduction. To oversee and lead Assembly Techs as trained.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a manufacturing environment emphasizing teamwork, safety, training, and discipline.
  • Follow standardized work instructions and work sequences for each process.
  • Supervise Assembly Techs' functionality, safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Work with the team to improve standardized processes and methods, identify and eliminate waste.
  • Be directly responsible for the performance of the assigned work area.
  • Complete all working documentation, records, and reports as requested.
  • Understand and follow all company policies and procedures.
  • Be proactive and reactive to resolve abnormalities in the process.
  • Use key performance indicators as a method of continuous improvement.
  • Work with company management to address concerns, issues, or other matters.
  • Attend and/or lead training as assigned.

  • Ability to instruct, supervise, and lead other team members.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic ability in addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Understanding of conceptual math (geometry, charts, etc.).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • 2+ years of manufacturing experience, plus supervision experience.
  • Experience with extrusion manufacturing processes, tooling, quality control methods, and statistical process control (SPC).
  • Experience with injection plastics and urethane processes is a plus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One (1) to two (2) years of manufacturing environment experience or related field preferred.
  • Additional technical certifications are preferred.
  • Previous exposure to a multicultural office environment is a plus.

Work Environment

Open office environment with moderate to loud noise. Standard automotive plant environment requiring PPE such as safety glasses, steel toe shoes, and hearing protection. Personal attire standards may apply. Ability to walk or stand for extensive periods of time and use hands and fingers to handle and feel. May occasionally be required to lift up to 60 pounds. Night Shift from 6pm - 7am (1 hour lunch) Monday - Thursday, with occasional Saturdays and optional Sundays based on production needs.

***Starting $47k-$52k/year based on experience in Washington, IN!!!***Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $47840.00 - $52000.00/yr.
