Job DescriptionZing Recruiting, in partnership with a leading chemical manufacturing company, is seeking to hire an experienced Shipping Clerk to support their Norwood, NJ location.
Morning Shift - Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour
Core Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and execute daily shipment schedules, adhering to freight consolidation rules and directives from production meeting.
- Prioritize workload to meet both company and customer delivery deadlines.
- Prepare and coordinate international shipments, including documentation (air freight, sea freight, IMO/dangerous goods as required).
- Support all shipping activities; operate forklift as needed to prep product for shipment.
- Work with QC, Production, Customer Service, Planning to ensure timely, accurate order fulfillment.
- Act as backup for Warehouse & Logistics Supervisor when needed to maintain service levels.
- Track order status, handle order complaints, conduct research on lost/damaged shipments, document issues.
- Adhere to safety, QC, sanitation, OSHA, warehouse/inventory control standards.
- Other shipping/receiving or warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED (minimum) Prior experience in a warehouse/manufacturing environment (shipping & receiving
- Forklift certification or demonstrated forklift experience is desired/required.
- Picking/order selecting experience desired/required
- Strong communication skills (verbal & written)
- Attention to detail, ability to manage multiple tasks, work under deadlines
- Knowledge of shipping/receiving best practices
