A-Line Staffing is now hiring a Full-Time on-site Pharmacy Technician in Sacramento!
We are seeking a detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to accurately and efficiently fill prescription requests in a high-volume automated refill setting. Under the supervision of a Pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician prepares packages and distributes medications while maintaining workflow to meet daily production goals. This position offers the opportunity to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Pharmacy Technician Compensation
- The pay for this position is $26.00/hr
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
Pharmacy Technician Highlights
- This position is a contract assignment with potential for permanent hire based on attendance, performance, and business needs
- The required availability for this position Monday – Friday (Initial schedule). After 4 weeks, based on business needs, schedule will shift to Sunday – Thursday.
- Sunday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Monday – Thursday: 1:30 PM – 10:00 PM
Pharmacy Technician Responsibilities
· Manually fill prescription vials with prescribed tablets and capsules; verify size, strength, and accuracy against computer-generated screens.
· Replenish automated dispensing cells, entering lot and expiration information via handheld scanners.
· Conduct weekly cycle counts, assist with audits, and identify root causes of inventory discrepancies.
· Prepare cold chain and specialty prescriptions following special handling and packing requirements.
· Assist with packing and shipping of prescriptions.
· Maintain compliance with federal and state HIPAA laws, pharmacy procedures, and patient safety protocols.
· Demonstrate problem-solving skills; escalate issues to management when necessary.
Pharmacy Technician Requirements
· Minimum 1 year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician (Externships and programs do not count). Candidates without this experience will be rejected.
· California Pharmacy Technician License required.
· High School Diploma or equivalent.
· Knowledge of federal and state HIPAA laws.
· Ability to perform repetitive work under time pressure.
· Basic mathematical reasoning skills.
· Ability to operate pallet jacks, hand trucks/dollies, and scanning units.
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
