$40.65/hr – Mid-Level (Approx. 10 Years Experience)

$44.72/hr – Senior Level (16+ Years Experience)

Position Summary
A healthcare facility in Gainesville, FL is seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to join its rehabilitation team. The Occupational Therapist collaborates with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide patient-centered therapy services that support recovery, improve functional abilities, and promote long-term independence.
This role focuses on evaluating patients’ functional capabilities and developing individualized treatment plans to help patients regain or enhance their ability to perform daily activities.
Responsibilities

Evaluate patients’ physical, cognitive, and functional abilities to determine therapy needs

Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans

Provide hands-on therapeutic interventions to improve mobility, daily living skills, and independence
-
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans to achieve optimal outcomes
-
Educate patients and families on therapy goals, home exercises, and adaptive strategies
-
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient evaluations, treatments, and progress

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care and discharge planning
-
Provide guidance and mentorship to therapy assistants, students, or other team members when appropriate
Required Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
-
Current State License as an Occupational Therapist
-
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (commonly provided through the American Heart Association or equivalent provider)

Minimum 1 year of Occupational Therapy experience preferred (new graduates may be considered)
