Job Description
The Apprentice/Journeyman Single Ply Roofer plays a crucial role in commercial waterproofing and roofing projects, working primarily on Commercial Waterproofing and Roofing Projects. This position involves working within a small team and requires frequent travel between job sites to perform job tasks safely and efficiently. The role offers opportunities for cross-training in various waterproofing and roofing techniques as well as access to certification and training programs, including waterproofing systems education.
Responsibilities
- Install single ply roofing systems on commercial buildings
- Handle materials and equipment safely and efficiently
- Comply with all safety regulations and company policies
- Prepare job sites for work, ensuring conditions meet project requirements
- Inspect job site before and after installation for quality assurance
- Perform maintenance and repair work on roofing and waterproofing systems as needed
- Collaborate effectively within a small team to achieve project goals
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge and experience with single ply roofing systems
- Proficient in Heat Welding techniques
- Strong adherence to safety compliance standards
- Manual dexterity with the ability to use hand and power tools
- Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks
- Teamwork skills and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- Entry-level experience in roofing or waterproofing
- Valid driver’s license
- U.S. Citizenship
