- ICU RN position in Chicago, Illinois at ILARL Saint Joseph Hosp Chgo-66513, part of Ascension Health hospital system.
- Requires 2 years of critical care experience.
- Job involves working 12-hour shifts from 7pm to 7:30am, 3 shifts per week, based on unit needs.
- Job Requirements
- 2 years critical care experience required.
- Must have current state nursing license with Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start.
- Pharmacology exam required prior to start and updated every 3 years.
- Completion of specialty exam prior to first assignment and updated every 3 years.
- Completion of core competencies including HIPAA, Joint Commission, OSHA topics within a year of start, updated yearly.
- Documentation of required immunizations and health screenings including MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza vaccine, Varicella, Tdap, TB testing, and health statement.
- Drug screening and background checks as per facility policy.
- Completion of Ascension specific onboarding and training modules prior to start.
- Schedule Information
- 12 hour shifts from 7pm to 7:30am, 3 shifts per week, based on unit needs.
- Additional Details
- Must be American Heart Association (AHA) certified for BLS and ACLS.
- Nursys verification and FACIS questionnaire required for any disciplinary actions.
- Ascension Pharmacology and Specialty Exams required with minimum 80% score and limited attempts.
- Ascension Core Competencies and NIH Certification required with minimum passing scores.
- Ascension EKG Exam required with minimum 80% score.
- Ascension Onboarding Requirements Education Attestation and Nursing Contract Worker Onboarding required.
- Ascension Biometric consent and Nova StatStrip training required.
- Ascension Epic Test-Out assessment required.
- Driver's License/State ID must be valid and match address requirements.
- Ascension Criminal Background Check and EPLS required.
- Ascension Skills Checklist and 12 Panel Drug Screen required.
- Ascension Education and Employment Verification required.
- Additional optional and required Ascension-specific documents and evaluations.
