Responsibilities:
- Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Monitor patient progress and provide feedback to the physical therapist.
- Educate patients and their families on exercises and treatment protocols.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Prepare treatment areas and ensure all equipment is clean and functional.
- Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and answering patient inquiries.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss patient care and progress.
- Ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all patients.
Requirements:
- Current certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of Hawaii.
- Strong understanding of physical therapy principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Prior experience in a clinical setting is preferred.
- Compassionate demeanor with a passion for helping others.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and scheduling.
