Position Overview

We are seeking an Electronics Technician to join our team full time at our office in Mountain View. In this role, you will be responsible for hands-on assembly, rework, and testing of electronic devices and circuit boards. The ideal candidate has excellent soldering skills, strong attention to detail, and experience working with precision electronic components.

Key Responsibilities

• Solder and rework PCBs, including fine-pitch components down to 0402

• Assemble and rework PCBs with proper handling of polarity, orientation, and ESD safety

• Debug and troubleshoot PCBs and electronic assemblies

• Load and verify firmware during board bring-up using standard programming tools

• Build wire harnesses and connectors using crimping tools and proper connector systems (Molex, JST, Amphenol, etc.)

• Operate electrical test equipment (multimeters, power supplies, oscilloscopes)

• Document assembly steps, test results, and issues clearly for engineering review

• Follow technical procedures and maintain a safe, organized work environment

• Package and prepare completed assemblies for shipping when required

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to read and follow technical instructions, schematics, and assembly drawings

• Strong soldering and rework skills on small components (0402 and fine-pitch ICs)

• Experience debugging electronics using test equipment

• Skilled in crimping, harness assembly, and working with connector systems

• Familiarity with PCB assembly practices and ESD safety

• Ability to load and verify firmware for bring-up testing

• Excellent hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Familiarity with 3D printing or other rapid prototyping methods

• Prior experience in consumer electronics assembly or testing
