As a Fabricator, you will operate manual machines and work with castings, pins, and other custom OEM parts. You will perform MIG and Stick welding on boom trucks and utility vehicles, following service requirements and blueprints. An on-staff engineer will oversee manual machining operations, including running Manual Mills (Cincinnati), Bridgeport mills/lathes, radial drill presses, broaching machines, turret lathes, and threaders. You will work with materials ranging from mild steel to 4140 alloy. Additionally, you will prepare metal by running wires through and along it for installation.
Responsibilities
- Operate manual machines such as mills, lathes, and drill presses.
- Perform MIG and Stick welding on boom trucks and utility vehicles.
- Collaborate with an on-staff engineer for machining operations.
- Work with materials like mild steel and 4140 alloy.
- Prepare metal by running wires for installation.
Essential Skills
- Experience in fabrication
- Proficiency in MIG welding
- Ability to work with manual machines
- Understanding of blueprints
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with press brakes
- Capability in TIG welding
- Familiarity with turret lathes and threaders

Work Environment
Work in a medium to large-sized manufacturing and service shop with three distinct service areas for welding/fabricating, chassis building, and vehicle servicing. The facility includes a full paint booth and fosters a collaborative work environment.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Hopkins, Minnesota.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $72000.00/yr.
- Paid Holidays
o Eight (8) paid holidays – includes one (1) floating holiday.
- Comprehensive health care coverage
o ABM Equipment, LLC, pays approximately 65% of base individual and family premiums.

- Short-term Disability
o 60% of weekly income up to $500/wk. for up to 13 weeks

o Two (2) paid days for an immediate family member

o Employee voluntary contributions pre or post-tax. Eligible the first of the month after three (3) months of employment
o 3% of gross pay distributed bi-weekly (safe harbor). Eligible the first of the month after one (1) year of employment
