Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years MS Oncology RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Deliver vital patient care in a specialized environment with this contract nursing opportunity in oncology and med-surg. This role offers the chance to work with a leading department dedicated to Skin and Melanoma care, focusing on exceptional clinical outcomes and patient support.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
- No on-call required
Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Florida or a compact nursing license
- Minimum of an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (college diploma or transcripts required in your profile to apply)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Must not reside in Broward, Dade, or Palm Beach counties
- Med Surg and Oncology RN experience strongly preferred
Responsibilities:
- Deliver patient-centered nursing care on the Medical-Surgical Oncology unit, with an emphasis on skin and melanoma cases
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, following departmental protocols
- Collaborate closely with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, and other healthcare professionals to develop and execute patient care plans
- Provide effective patient education, support, and discharge planning
- Document clinical findings and interventions in electronic medical records
- Monitor for and respond to changes in patient status promptly
