Job Title: Patient Services Representative
Location:
On-site in Fort Worth, TX
(Parking garage provided)
Pay:
$19–$21/hr
Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
(Temp role with possible permanent placement after 120 days)
Job Description:
The Patient Services Representative plays a key role in supporting the front desk and registration process. This position involves direct patient interaction, insurance verification, appointment scheduling, and various administrative tasks to ensure smooth clinic operations and a positive patient experience.
Key Duties Include:
- Interviewing patients to collect demographic and insurance information
- Verifying insurance eligibility and obtaining necessary authorizations
- Registering patients in the system and confirming data accuracy
- Handling co-pays, deposits, and financial discussions with patients
- Scheduling follow-up appointments and coordinating diagnostic orders
- Answering calls and directing patients to appropriate locations
- Maintaining patient records and assisting with chart documentation
- Supporting new staff during onboarding and training initiatives
- Participating in process improvement projects
Requirements:
- 1+ year of customer service experience (healthcare preferred)
- Front desk or patient registration experience highly preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred
- Experience using Epic or other healthcare software is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
