Take full ownership of the functioning of the SMS and the IEP, and to shape them with your ideas and expertise.

You’ll be at the center of safety operations, giving you exposure to a wide range of technologies. You'll develop your skills in areas like threat analysis, incident response, and vulnerability management.
What you’ll do
You’ll manage the SMS database, monitor safety issues, and analyze safety and operational data to identify hazards and trends. You’ll partner with colleagues to develop and recommend improvements, assist in developing safety communications, and assemble briefing presentations for leaders, regulators and other stakeholders.
You'll also be responsible for the IEP, including scheduling and conducting audits, identifying and documenting findings, making recommendations to mitigate risk, and monitor corrective / preventive action effectiveness.
Other key responsibilities include:
- Establishing and overseeing the audit schedule for compliance with FAA Regulations, DCTs, and other standards
- Developing Internal Evaluation Program audit checklists to ensure effective ongoing System Monitoring
- Conducting or overseeing special audits, reviews, and investigations
- Overseeing measurement of effectiveness of Corrective Actions / Preventive Actions (CAPAs)
- Developing Safety Risk Assessments (SRA) and Change Management (CM) reviews of systemic issues
- Generating reports, metrics, analyses, presentations and other SMS outputs for a variety of audiences
- Presenting data to operational leaders and other stakeholders in various forums
- Facilitating industry data sharing efforts and applying external data to internal risk analyses
- Managing the processing of official FAA correspondence, including Voluntary Self-Disclosure Program submissions, Letters of Investigation/Correction, legal interpretations, waivers, and other structured or time-limited formal communications with the regulator
What you’ll need
- Bachelor’s degree or 5 years of related work experience in Aviation, Safety, Program Management, Project Management, Risk Management, or Investigations
- Previous experience in IEP auditing / management
- An FAA issued certificate (Pilot, Aircraft Maintenance Technician, Dispatcher or Flight Attendant) is preferred
- Background with the IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) standard, code-share auditing, ISO, an auditor professional certification, and aircraft accident/incident investigations, all pluses
- Three or more (3+) years of relevant leadership or supervisory experience
- Substantial experience with Microsoft Office applications such as Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Travel is required up to 25%. Must have an unrestricted passport
