Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Two Occupational Therapist positions are available to provide school-based occupational therapy services in special education settings within Carbon and Lehigh Counties, Pennsylvania. These contract roles involve delivering therapy to support students’ functional, motor, sensory, and adaptive skills, fostering independence and academic success throughout the school year.
Location:
- One position in Carbon County, PA
- One position in Lehigh County, PA
Schedule:
- 35 hours per week
- Assignment runs ASAP through approximately June 12, 2026 (aligned with school calendar)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive occupational therapy services to students with disabilities
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including teachers, service providers, and families
- Participate actively in Individualized Education Program (IEP) development and implementation
- Perform thorough documentation and maintain compliance with state and federal regulations
- Utilize electronic documentation systems and technology tools efficiently
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Pennsylvania Occupational Therapy license (required)
- Experience working with students in special education environments
- Proven ability to contribute effectively to IEP processes
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic health record systems
