Dunton Consulting is a full-service government and community relations firm specializing in message delivery through data and field management. We have successfully worked in urban, suburban, and rural settings in 19 states and internationally. We are seeking passionate and strategic Canvass Management Team members to lead our canvassing efforts and engage communities in meaningful conversations.
Position Overview:
The Canvass Management Team member will be responsible for hiring, training, managing a dedicated team of community canvassers. This role will involve developing and implementing campaign strategies, managing budgets, ensuring quality control. Canvass Management Team members are also responsible for reporting, tracking and analyzing outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive canvassing strategy in line with campaign goals.
- Recruit, train, and manage a team of paid canvassers, providing them with the tools and resources needed for success.
- Monitor and evaluate canvasser performance, providing ongoing feedback, retooling and support.
- Coordinate and oversee canvassing logistics, including scheduling, route planning, and materials distribution.
- Collect and analyze data to assess the effectiveness of canvassing efforts and adjust strategies as needed.
- Collaborate with campaign leadership to align canvassing efforts with overall campaign messaging and objectives.
- Build and maintain relationships with community members, stakeholders, and local organizations.
- Report regularly on canvassing progress and outcomes to the campaign team.
- Create an environment that fosters retention of canvassers to ensure daily goals are met.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in managing and executing grassroots campaigns or similar outreach efforts.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse group.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with different audiences.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in using data to drive decisions and improve campaign strategies.
- Familiarity with digital tools and applications for canvassing and data collection.
- Must have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation
- Must have a working laptop with Microsoft Word and Excel (NO CHROMEBOOKS)
- Must be willing and able to canvass and walk the entire shift along with Community Canvassers.
Required Uniform:
Solid white, black, or blue collared shirts or T-shirts (no stripes/patterns).
Well-fitting dress Khakis that are khaki, black, blue, or green in color.
Comfortable sneakers or walking shoes.
