About the Role:
As a Coach Operator for Fixed Route services, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of passengers along designated routes. Your primary responsibility will be to operate a bus or coach, adhering to scheduled timetables while providing excellent customer service. You will be tasked with maintaining the safety and comfort of passengers, which includes managing boarding and alighting procedures and ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations. Additionally, you will be responsible for conducting pre-trip inspections and reporting any mechanical issues to ensure the vehicle is in optimal condition. Ultimately, your role is vital in promoting public transportation as a reliable and accessible option for the community.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with passenger endorsement.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the past three years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a bus or coach operator.
- Knowledge of local traffic laws and public transportation systems.
- Customer service experience in a public-facing role.
