An opportunity is available for a Night Shift Pharmacist specializing in inpatient hospital pharmacy services. This role supports patient care within a well-established hospital system and requires expertise in handling complex medication management during overnight hours.
Location:
- Cambridge, MA
Schedule:
- Night shift: 7 days on, 7 days off
- Hours: 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM
Responsibilities:
- Dispense and verify inpatient medication orders accurately and efficiently during night shifts
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize pharmacotherapy for hospitalized patients
- Utilize electronic medical records and automated dispensing systems, including EPIC and Pyxis, to manage medication distribution and documentation
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure compliance with hospital pharmacy policies and regulatory standards
- Provide clinical pharmacy support to medical and nursing staff during the overnight shift
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Valid Massachusetts pharmacist license
- Experience working in a hospital inpatient pharmacy setting
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records and Pyxis automated dispensing systems
- Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours
Additional Details:
- Contract position with a duration of 13 weeks or longer
- Immediate or soonest possible start date preferred
