Job Title: Electrical Journeyman - MUST BE LICENSED - No Exceptions
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Electrical Journeyman to join our team. The successful candidate will perform a variety of electrical installation, maintenance, and repair tasks in compliance with local and national electrical codes. This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:

Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, equipment, and fixtures in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to plan and execute electrical installations.

Troubleshoot electrical issues, diagnose problems, and implement effective solutions.

Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local regulations.

Collaborate with other tradespeople, contractors, and project managers to complete projects on time and within budget.

Test electrical systems and equipment using appropriate tools to ensure functionality and safety.
-
Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized condition.

Adhere to safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) to maintain a safe work environment.

Document work performed, including materials used and time spent, for accurate project tracking.

Mentor and guide apprentices, providing training and support as needed.
Qualifications:
-
Valid Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent certification, as required by state or local regulations.

Minimum of 4 years of experience in electrical installation, maintenance, and repair.

Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring methods, and NEC standards.

Proficiency in using electrical tools and testing equipment (e.g., multimeters, circuit testers, etc.).

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Physical ability to perform tasks requiring lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Commitment to safety practices and protocols.
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Experience with low-voltage systems, HVAC controls, or renewable energy systems (e.g., solar or wind).

Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) or building automation systems.
-
OSHA 10 or 30 certification or equivalent safety training - nice to have.
Working Conditions:

Full-time position, with potential for overtime or on-call shifts.

Work may be performed indoors or outdoors, in various weather conditions.

Requires standing, bending, climbing ladders, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

May involve working at heights, in confined spaces, or in environments with exposure to electrical hazards.
