Job DescriptionMedical Assistant- Primary CarePay: $19.00-$28.00/hr.
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Hours: 8:00am-4:30pm

The practice focuses on internal medicine and offers a broad range of onsite specialty services, including cardiology, gastroenterology, podiatry, dermatology, psychiatry, women’s health, and physical therapy. It provides convenient onsite diagnostic services such as lab work, imaging, Xray, ultrasound, echocardiology, and mammography to support comprehensive care. The clinic emphasizes patientcentered, integrated healthcare, accepts most major insurance plans including Medicare, and is committed to delivering highquality care under one roof.Position Summary-The Medical Assistant supports providers by preparing patients for examinations, assisting with treatments, and ensuring accurate documentation throughout the clinical workflow. This role plays a key part in patient communication—relaying instructions, coordinating appointments, and conducting followup calls as needed. The MA contributes to smooth clinic operations by maintaining clean exam rooms, managing supplies, and supporting diagnostic and administrative tasks. Strong attention to detail, patient care skills, and the ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment are essential.
Essential Job Duties-

  • Greet and prepare patients for provider exams; screen and collect necessary information.
  • Assist with procedures, treatments, specimen collection, labeling, storage, and retrieval of test results.
  • Maintain exam rooms, equipment, and medical supplies; ensure cleanliness and readiness.
  • Enter patient data accurately and assist with medical records, diagnostic orders, and documentation.
  • Communicate provider instructions, dispense medications as directed, and educate patients on treatment plans.
  • Manage scheduling, triage calls, coordinate specialty referrals, and support patient flow.
  • Assist with prior authorizations, telephone triage, and general clinic workflow.
  • Uphold HIPAA standards and follow all clinic protocols and safety guidelines.

Requirements-

  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited Medical Assisting program required.
  • Medical Assistant Certification or ability to obtain within 1 year of hire.
  • CPR certification required; ACLS preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical assisting theory, clinical procedures, safety practices, and medical equipment.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, organizational, and patientcare skills.
  • Ability to remain calm during emergencies and follow detailed instructions.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Windows; EMR experience preferred.
  • Previous clinic experience desired.
