Job Title: Pharmacy Technician - Micro Fulfillment Center
Job Type: W2 Contract-to-Hire
Location: Northlake, TX 76262 (Onsite)
Pay: $21.60/hour

Schedule Options:

1st Shift:
Sunday, Wednesday–Friday
4:00 AM – 2:00 PM (starting schedule) → will change to 5:00 AM – 3:00 PM

2nd Shift:
Option 1: Sunday–Tuesday, Friday
Option 2: Sunday–Wednesday
2:30 PM – 12:30 AM (starting schedule) → will change to 3:30 PM – 1:30 AM

Overnight Shift:
Sunday–Thursday
10:00 PM – 6:00 AM

Job Summary

This role supports a pharmacy micro-fulfillment environment that focuses on processing and distributing prescription medications to retail locations. You’ll play a key role in ensuring prescriptions are accurately entered, filled, and prepared for shipment while maintaining quality and compliance standards. This is a fast-paced, team-oriented environment focused on efficiency, accuracy, and patient impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enter and process new patient and prescription information using pharmacy systems
  • Handle prescription refill requests in compliance with HIPAA guidelines
  • Interpret prescription directions (SIG codes) and resolve missing or unclear information
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data entry exceptions
  • Operate automated fulfillment machinery and support workflow processes
  • Count, fill, label, package, and ship prescriptions accurately
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas, including equipment upkeep
  • Resolve third-party insurance rejections and resubmit claims as needed
  • Support pharmacists (onsite and remote) with daily operations
  • Identify and escalate issues to senior team members when appropriate
  • Obtain and maintain an active pharmacy technician license within 90 days if not already active

Basic Qualifications

  • TX Pharmacy Technician State license/registration required
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum typing speed of 25 WPM with general formatting skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation
  • Willingness to work assigned schedules and adapt to shift changes

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active PTCB or ExCPT certification
  • 0-2+ years of pharmacy technician experience preferred, but not required (retail, fulfillment, or call center)
  • Experience in a high-volume or automated pharmacy environment
  • Strong customer service background
