The role of the HUC is to manage cross functional department and consultant responsibilities, support efficient and timely operations of medical services, and provide a broad range of administrative and staff support services to enhance the care of patients within EOSIS.
Pay: $19.00 - $22.50 Hourly
Shift: Full-Time, Split Shift 11am-7:30pm
Location: Hybrid

ResponsibilitiesThe following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
- Support facility Nursing Operations at 2 or more locations as requested:
- Supports nursing during patient admission to complete necessary documentation.
- Manages the administrative responsibilities of medical registration and appointments including scheduling, documentation uploading, tracking and other follow-ups as needed.
- Follows established procedures for processing and transcribing physician’s orders promptly and accurately.
- Completes Trained Medication Aid (TMA) Training
- Support Facility operations as needed:
- Schedules consults, appointments, discharge follow-up appointments and transportation as requested.
- Keeps others adequately informed of patient consults and appointments.
- Supports the facilities Urine Analysis (UA) process through maintaining accurate list of admitted and discharged patients.
- Responds to and assists with needs of staff, patients, visitors, and other customers; facilitates patient telephone and visiting hours.
- Demonstrates knowledge of patient and environmental safety by identifying contraband items and educating staff and maintaining a clean, orderly work area to optimize efficiency.
- Utilizes available computer systems, including but not limited to the organization’s Electronic Health Record (EHR, Microsoft Office, etc. Demonstrates proficiency with use of computer.
- Assists in the completion of the patient registration process including ROI, consents, and documentation required to and by the patient upon admission.
- Supports the maintenance of neat, accurate, and complete medical records of active patients.
- Attend all training as required by supervisor
- Attend and participate in departmental meetings as requested
- Attend All-Staff meetings and participate as needed.
- Serve on projects as delegated
- Support record requests process as needed
- Support miscellaneous facility tasks as needed
Required SkillsRequired:
- High school diploma required
- Strong verbal skills and ability to communicate abstract concepts in a simple format.
- Ability to communicate with a variety of people from diverse cultures, socioeconomic and educational backgrounds.
- Strong knowledge of the 12 core functions.
- Flexibility to meet a variety of changing priorities.
- Computer skills to draft emails, memos, and reporting.
Preferred:
- Has at least two years’ experience in behavioral health and addiction care.
- Previous experience in a clinical health care role is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is desired.
