Job Summary:

We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable team players to join our Production team. As a Production Worker, you will be responsible for various tasks across different stages of our manufacturing process, including assembly, material handling, and surface preparation. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to quality and safety, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Read, understand, and follow work instructions and CAMPS instructions to ensure accurate and efficient production.
  • Perform assembly tasks on valves and hydrants, focusing on quality and adherence to specifications.
  • Load and unload parts onto conveyor lines and blaster trees using appropriate hooks, configurations, and lifting equipment (including hoists and jib cranes).
  • Prepare parts for coating by plugging/unplugging, cleaning threads using taps and drill guns, and ensuring correct quantities and colors as per work orders.
  • Conduct visual inspections of parts for quality and perform safety checks on equipment.
  • Build hydrant bonnets and install them on nozzle sections.
  • Match paperwork with hydrants and prep kits for assembly workstations.
  • Properly complete all required paperwork and accurately input production data into computer systems (e.g., BC365).
  • Notify supervisors immediately of any quality defects, mechanical malfunctions, or safety concerns.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
  • Accurately transact work orders.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the SFS system (if applicable).
  • Stack pallets in an organized manner.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • When production lines are down, you may be assigned to work in other departments and/or participate in special projects.
  • Perform inventory tasks and work overtime as needed to meet production demands.
  • Work safely around high-temperature equipment, including ovens and parts exiting the coating process.
  • Collaborate effectively with fellow employees to achieve production goals.

Job Qualifications and Hazards:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Ability to read and write English.
  • Experience in hand assembly, preferably on a paced assembly line.
  • Familiarity and comfort using hand tools, power tools, air tools, drill guns, grinders, hoists, automatic conveyors, and glue guns.
  • Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 55 pounds. Assistance from a co-worker, hoist, or forklift is required for weights exceeding 55 lbs.
  • Ability to perform tasks requiring standing, lifting, twisting, and turning.
  • Must wear required ear protection at all times in designated high-noise assembly areas.
  • Comfortable working in an environment with conveyors and around hot equipment (ovens and heated parts).
