Job Title: Finishing Carpenter
Job Description
As a Finishing Carpenter, you will provide self-perform services on various projects, encompassing a wide range of tasks. Your responsibilities will include selective demolition, progress clean-up, rough carpentry, finish carpentry, casework installation, commercial door and hardware installation, drywall patching, painting, miscellaneous flooring and vinyl base patching, specialties installation, and suspended ceiling grid/tile installation. You will also be responsible for quantifying, ordering, and tracking materials and equipment for projects, ensuring efficient use and storage.
Responsibilities
- Perform selective demolition and progress clean-up.
- Execute rough carpentry, including framing and wall layout.
- Complete finish carpentry and casework installation.
- Install commercial doors and hardware.
- Patch and finish drywall, and conduct painting tasks.
- Undertake miscellaneous flooring and vinyl base patching.
- Install specialties and suspended ceiling grid/tile.
- Quantify, order, and track materials and return unused ones.
- Manage project-specific equipment efficiently.
- Understand contract scope-of-work and report change orders.
- Review and track project self-perform budgets in real-time.
- Understand and adhere to project schedules.
- Assist in procurement of project-specific building permits.
Essential Skills
- 3 to 5 years of carpentry experience on light-commercial and commercial projects.
- Safety-first mentality with OSHA 10 certification (OSHA 30 preferred).
- Proficiency in reading and understanding project plans, specifications, and shop drawings.
- Base understanding of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection (MEPFP) systems.
- Excellent organizational skills and effective communication skills.
- Proficient problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead on-site self-perform crews and subcontracted vendors.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in construction, carpentry, framing, finish carpentry, concrete, drywall, and blueprint reading.
- Capability to work across various industries such as convenience stores, general commercial, grocery stores, health care, manufacturing, multi-family, commercial office spaces, restaurants, retail

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $40.00/hr.
