Opportunity to Transition Into Full-Time 2026–2027 School Year Roles
We are currently seeking motivated and compassionate Paraprofessionals to support students in a school district near San Francisco, CA during the 2026 Extended School Year (ESY) program. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain hands-on school-based experience while making a direct impact on students with special education and behavioral support needs.
Candidates who perform well during the summer assignment may be considered for continued placement during the full 2026–2027 academic year.
Assignment Information
ESY Summer Program Dates: June 15 – July 17, 2026
Full-time contract opportunities
School settings ranging from Pre-K through transition programs
Openings available in classroom support, behavioral support, and student assistance roles
What You’ll Be Doing
Provide instructional and behavioral support to students throughout the school day
Assist teachers and staff with classroom activities and student supervision
Support students with individualized education plans (IEPs)
Help students with academic tasks, communication, social skills, and daily routines
Assist with personal care responsibilities when needed, including feeding, toileting, mobility, or hygiene support
Maintain a positive, safe, and supportive learning environment
Qualifications
Associate’s degree or higher preferred, OR
Minimum of 48 college credits, OR
Passing the paraprofessional/instructional aide exam OR CBEST
Nice to have
Previous experience working with children, students with disabilities, or behavioral support is preferred
CPR/First Aid certification, sign language, healthcare support experience, or related skills are a plus
Ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced educational environments
Comfortable supporting students with a variety of physical, emotional, and behavioral needs
