PreK8 Academic Program
Grounded in Direct Instruction and Precision Teaching, this program focuses on core academic skillsreading, writing, and mathematicsusing explicit, systematic teaching methods that emphasize mastery, fluency, and generalization. Tailored for students with learning disabilities and neurodiverse profiles, this program benefits greatly from structured, data-driven instruction.
2. Clinical ABA Program (Ages 313)
Our ABA Program is cognition-linguistically based and emphasizes cognitive skill and social behavior learning within a structured instructional environment. We integrate Applied Behavior Analysis with teaching strategies that support language development, reasoning, executive functioning, and social competence. Instruction is individualized, data-driven, and focused on building foundational skills that support learning, communication, and independence.
Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and knowledgeable Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our dynamic team. The LCSW will play a pivotal role in providing therapeutic support to our neurodiverse students, working collaboratively with educators, parents, and other professionals to create a holistic and nurturing learning environment tailored to the unique needs of each child.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessment and Evaluation:Conduct comprehensive assessments of students to identify their emotional, behavioral, and social needs. Develop individualized treatment plans that align with the educational goals of the students.
- Therapeutic Support:Provide individual and group therapy sessions focusing on social skills development, emotional regulation, and behavioral interventions. Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities to support student growth.
- Collaboration:Work closely with teachers and support staff to integrate therapeutic strategies into the classroom setting. Participate in the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs).
- Family Engagement:Actively engage with families, providing guidance, resources, and support to help them navigate their child's challenges. Facilitate family therapy sessions as needed to enhance communication and understanding.
- Monitoring Progress:Regularly monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective outcomes. Prepare and present progress reports for interdisciplinary team meetings.
- Professional Development:Stay informed about best practices in social work, autism spectrum disorders, and related fields. Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
- Advocacy:Advocate for the needs and rights of neurodiverse learners within the school setting and the broader community. Promote awareness and understanding of neurodiversity among staff and families.
Qualifications:
- Education:Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Current and valid LCSW license in the state of Illinois.
- Experience:Minimum of 2 years of experience working with neurodiverse populations, particularly children with autism spectrum disorders and related challenges.
- Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with children, families, and colleagues.
- Proficient in developing and implementing evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with relevant research and best practices.
