Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Mother Baby

Location: Neptune, New Jersey
Duration: 13 Weeks

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Mother Baby Registered Nurse (RN) to provide compassionate, patient-centered care for postpartum mothers and newborns. This role focuses primarily on postpartum nursing while supporting maternal and newborn health through assessment, education, care planning, and clinical intervention.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to postpartum mothers and newborns.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
• Monitor maternal and newborn conditions and respond appropriately to clinical changes.
• Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery, newborn care, breastfeeding, and discharge planning.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of recent Mother Baby/Postpartum nursing experience required.
• Experience with Postpartum, Antepartum, Labor & Delivery, and OR settings required.
• Active New Jersey RN License or Multi-State Compact RN License required.
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required; BSN preferred.
• Current AHA BLS Certification required.
• ACLS Certification required.
• NRP Certification required.
• AWHONN Advanced Certification or C-EFM Certification required.
• Strong newborn assessment and care skills required.

Schedule

• Night Shift
• 3 x 12-hour shifts per week
• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday required

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of Mother Baby experience.
• Strong postpartum nursing background.
• Excellent communication, patient education, and family-centered care skills.
