This role is vital to ensuring quality patient care, supporting providers, and keeping our office running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Clinical Support

  • Room patients, obtain vitals, and document medical histories accurately in the EMR.

  • Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments.

  • Experience with filling prescriptions, medication prior authorizations.

  • Preparing patient charts prior to appointment, requesting and faxing medical records.

  • Manage a high volume of patient calls and return messages in a timely and professional manner.

• Patient Care & Communication

  • Provide patient education and instructions as directed by providers.

  • Ensure patients feel comfortable, informed, and supported during visits.

  • Refill prescriptions accurately and in accordance with provider protocols.

  • Assist with follow-up calls and test result notifications.

• Administrative Duties

  • Manage patient records with accuracy and confidentiality (HIPAA compliance).

  • Help with scheduling, referrals, and authorizations as needed.

  • Maintain exam rooms, stock supplies, and ensure equipment is ready for use.

Qualifications

• Required: At least 2+ years of recent experience as a Medical Assistant.

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.

• Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred.

• Proficiency with EMR systems and basic computer skills.

• Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.

• Compassionate, dependable, and professional team player.
