Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A school district in Hayward, CA is seeking a bilingual School Psychologist for a contract assignment. This role requires proficiency in bilingual psychological assessment and support, providing critical services to meet the diverse needs of the student population.
Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive psychological evaluations, developing individualized education programs (IEPs), collaborating with teachers and parents, and offering guidance on behavioral interventions. The psychologist will contribute expertise to support students academic, social, and emotional development within a school setting.
Ideal candidates possess:
- Valid school psychologist credential or license
- Experience conducting bilingual assessments and providing culturally responsive services
- Strong knowledge of special education laws and regulations
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication skills in English and at least one additional language spoken by the community
