Insight Global is seeking an experienced Electronics Technician to join a team of engineers for a direct hire opportunity in Kennesaw, GA. This resource will be responsible for reverse engineering circuit boards and advanced component-level troubleshooting. This resource should have experience in analyzing complex PCB systems and restoring, upgrading, and enhancing legacy electronic systems. This is a critical role for circuit-level troubleshooting and repair. You will perform full reverse engineering of multi-layer PCB assemblies, including schematic reconstruction, signal tracing, and component identification. Create documentation for engineered circuits, including netlists, BOM's, and redrawn schematics. Lead root cause analysis and investigation on failed or intermittent boards.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical engineering, or similar w/ 2-4 years of experience
- 2+ years of circuit board reverse engineering experience
- High level of troubleshooting experience (able to read schematics, identify issues on circuit boards, and work backwards to fix those issues).
- High-level understanding of reading schematics
- Proficient with oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, and JTAG/debuggers
- Soldering and desoldering components
