Job DescriptionPosition Summary:

The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on a wide range of industrial equipment and systems to ensure maximum uptime and operational efficiency. This role supports production by ensuring machinery, utilities, and facilities are in optimal working condition while following all safety and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems on production and packaging equipment.

  • Perform preventative maintenance according to established schedules to minimize equipment downtime.

  • Troubleshoot PLC-controlled systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.) and assist with basic programming or adjustments.

  • Maintain facility systems including HVAC, boilers, air compressors, lighting, and other building-related equipment.

  • Respond to emergency breakdowns quickly and effectively to minimize impact on operations.

  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and work performed using CMMS or maintenance logs.

  • Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, manuals, and technical documentation.

  • Adhere to safety protocols and OSHA regulations; ensure lockout/tagout procedures are followed.

  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to support operational goals.

  • Assist in equipment installations, upgrades, and project-based maintenance tasks.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Technical Certificate or Associate’s Degree in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical, or related field preferred.

  • 3+ years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production environment.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of motors, pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, and bearings.

  • Electrical troubleshooting skills, including low-voltage, 3-phase power, control panels, and sensors.

  • Experience with PLC systems, VFDs, and HMIs a plus.

  • Welding, fabrication, and machining skills are a bonus.

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs., work in confined spaces, and climb ladders as needed.

  • Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and be on-call as needed.
