We're looking for a Purchasing & Supplier Relations Lead who enjoys building relationships, solving problems, negotiating great deals, and making a real impact on the business.

What You'll Do
This role sits at the intersection of purchasing, inventory planning, and supplier management. You'll be responsible for ensuring we have the right products, from the right suppliers, at the right time and cost.
You'll work closely with our sales, operations, service, and leadership teams to support customers, strengthen supplier partnerships, and help drive the continued growth of Sharrow.
Reporting Structure
This position reports directly to the President and works closely with sales, operations, service, and accounting teams across the organization.
The Purchasing & Supplier Relations Lead will play a key role in helping Sharrow maintain strong supplier partnerships, support customer needs, and drive profitable growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and manufacturers.
- Manage purchasing activities and purchase orders across multiple product lines.
- Negotiate pricing, freight programs, rebates, and supplier agreements.
- Monitor inventory levels and make informed purchasing decisions.
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve supplier performance.
- Work with sales and operations teams to anticipate demand and avoid shortages.
- Track supplier delivery performance, quality, and responsiveness.
- Maintain purchasing and vendor information within our ERP system.
- Help improve inventory turns while maintaining excellent customer service.
- Support new product sourcing and strategic supplier initiatives.

What We're Looking For
- Experience in purchasing, inventory management, and supplier relations.
- Demonstrated success building strong supplier partnerships and negotiating favorable pricing, terms, and service levels.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to balance inventory investment, customer service, and profitability.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Comfortable negotiating pricing and business terms.
- Organized and detail-oriented.
- Experience using ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines.
- Manufacturing, industrial distribution, material handling, construction, or related industry experience is a plus.
