Position Overview:
As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will play a crucial role in managing our accounting processes. Your hands-on experience and versatility will ensure smooth operations in accounts payable and support.
Key Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of full-cycle A/P processing experience- Automotive a plus.
- Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Outlook.
- Strong multitasking abilities, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
- Excellent customer service skills and follow-through, with the ability to work both in a team and independently.
Core Responsibilities:
- Efficiently manage the full cycle of accounts payable processing.
- Audit vendor invoices for accuracy in quantity and pricing, obtaining necessary approvals before payment.
- Collaborate with the shipping/receiving team to ensure compliance with established processes.
- Coordinate with various departments regarding new vendor setups and purchase order approvals.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any issues with vendors.
- Create entries related to accounts payable, including month-end accruals.
- Reconcile accounts payable sub-ledgers with the general ledger monthly.
- Understand GL structure to accurately classify expenses by business entity, department, and GL account.
- Cross-train in A/R invoicing and cash application for backup coverage.
