This role is for a Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab, focusing on delivering specialized care to patients with cardiovascular conditions in a dynamic setting. Utilizes the nursing process to deliver exceptional patient care. Maintains accountability for the care provided to assigned patients. Assesses the overall effectiveness of care delivered by other caregivers. Coordinates patient care in collaboration with other departments. Upholds patient rights and ensures confidentiality of patient information. Executes responsibilities in alignment with our mission, values, and service standards.
Position Overview:
The Cath Lab at our facility is a vibrant, fast-paced unit dedicated to cardiovascular patients, focusing on a variety of cardiac-related diagnoses. The team works closely with cardiovascular physicians and their clinics to perform both routine and emergency procedures.
- This unit demands excellent critical thinking and rapid decision-making skills.
- Due to its diverse nature, there are numerous educational opportunities available for staff.
- 3 Procedural Rooms
- 3 Team Members per Shift
- 24/7 Leadership Support
- Daily collaboration with ancillary departments.
- On-call duty required with a 30-minute response time.
- Scheduled Shift: 4 - 10 hour days from 0645 to 1715, plus after-hours on-call.
Additional Physical Requirements:
This position necessitates the ability to push, pull, and/or lift up to 50 lbs regularly. It also requires prolonged standing and walking throughout each shift, along with the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to fulfill job duties.
Qualifications:
- Education: Completion of an accredited registered nursing program.
- Licensure: Responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN license in the hiring state or compact licensure where nursing duties are performed, and must comply with all state board of nursing regulations.
