Now hiring Chemical Operators in Philadelphia. Train on 1st shift, then move to a rotating 4-on / 4-off schedule. Must be available for days, nights, weekends, and overtime. Excellent benefits package offered.
-What You"ll Do
*Operate and monitor Rotex screeners, cyclers, and batch-making mixers used in ion exchange resin production
*Set up, adjust, and troubleshoot production machinery to ensure proper performance and output quality
*Conduct routine inspections of equipment before, during, and after production runs
*Monitor process parameters (temperature, pressure, flow rates, batch volumes) and make adjustments as needed
*Prepare and mix raw materials according to batch formulas and standard operating procedures
*Collect product samples and perform basic in-process quality checks (e.g., particle size, moisture, visual inspection)
*Record production data, downtime, and quality observations accurately in logs and electronic systems
*Perform routine preventive maintenance, cleaning, and lubrication of assigned equipment
*Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with GMP, OSHA, and site safety standards
*Identify and report equipment malfunctions, process deviations, or quality issues to supervisors promptly
*Work collaboratively with maintenance, quality, and warehouse teams to support production goals
-Requirements
*Minimum 1-2 years of experience operating industrial production or processing equipment
*Ability to read and follow SOPs, batch records, and safety data sheets (SDS)
*Basic mechanical aptitude with the ability to identify and report equipment issues
*Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing consistent, high-quality product
*Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations for batch preparation and process adjustments
*Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a manufacturing environment
-Preferences
*Experience in chemical, polymer, or specialty materials manufacturing
*Familiarity with ion exchange resins, specialty chemicals, or batch chemical processing
*Experience operating screening or separation equipment (e.g., Rotex or similar vibratory screeners)
*Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and cGMP environments
