We are seeking a skilled Lab Administrator to oversee our labs during the swing shift. Tarana is currently rapidly growing and is expected to increase lab space by 50% in 2025-2026. There is significant demand to add additional lab support hours for employees in different time zones. As Lab Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and ensuring the efficient and safe operation of the lab during the evening hours. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in lab management, wireless, networking, excellent communication and customer support skills.
What you’ll be doing:
- Manage onsite labs and lab equipment during the swing shift and ensure good handoff from morning shift.
- Review and close lab tickets including coordinating with other engineering departments to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Ensure lab resources are constructed and maintained at high quality and lab resources are effectively used.
- Manage the testing and troubleshooting of Tarana devices, accessories, and other lab equipment.
- Equipment and fixtures are regularly maintained and calibrated.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of devices, parts, and equipment.
- Work with Engineering and facilities to plan and execute lab expansion to expand lab space
- Assist in the development of new processes to improve productivity or to prevent recurring problems.
- Ensure that all lab procedures are carried out in compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Monitor and analyze data and dashboards, identify trends and recommend corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the lab.
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and training materials.
- Train and mentor lab personnel.
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in networking, IT, electrical engineering, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in lab management or related field, with an emphasis on wireless and/or networking devices
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer support skills
- Experience with wireless networking devices such as routers, switches, access points, etc.
- Proficient in Google Apps like docs and sheets
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekend
Hours Expected Onsite: 1 to 10 pm

The salary range for this position is: $130,000 to $175,000
Compensation will be determined based on several factors including, but not limited to: skill set, years of experience and the employee’s geographic location.
