Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Required Qualifications:
- Current NMPED certification in Special Education
- Proven experience or strong interest working with elementary-aged students
- Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to adapt teaching methods and materials to meet diverse learning needs
- Organizational skills for maintaining accurate records and meeting deadlines
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with general educators, related services providers, and support staff to design inclusive lesson plans and learning environments
- Deliver individualized and small-group instruction, ensuring each student can access the curriculum and reach their full potential
- Develop, review, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Monitor student progress, provide regular updates to families, and participate in IEP meetings
- Create a positive, respectful classroom atmosphere that fosters social-emotional growth and academic achievement
- Implement classroom management strategies tailored to diverse learners
- Participate in ongoing professional development and school community activities
