Job Title: Compounder
Job Description
The Compounder is responsible for accurately retrieving and measuring ingredients using scales, mixing various ingredients, and identifying and melting solids using hot plates. The role involves identifying ingredients that require dilution, diluting them appropriately, and recording raw materials usage. The Compounder maintains quality standards by verifying weight and contents of raw materials, conducting in-process batch inspections, documenting all process events, and adhering to procedures and policies. The Compounder processes liquids, powders, homogenizing, and spray dry methods of compounding, following standard batch instructions to accurately weigh dyes and other substances into the equipment. Consistency in various batches is checked, and the viscosity of mixtures is measured. Samples of batches are taken and turned over to a laboratory for testing. Food safety guidelines are followed, and accurate documentation of work completed is essential. The Compounder must be willing to wear a uniform and proper PPE.
Responsibilities

- Accurately weigh dyes and substances according to standard batch instructions.
- Check for consistency in batches and measure mixture viscosity.
- Take batch samples for laboratory testing.
- Follow food safety guidelines and document completed work.
- Wear a uniform and proper PPE.
Essential Skills
- 6 months to 1 year of compounding experience with powders and raw materials.
- Experience working in a GMP environment, adhering to safety and sanitation protocols.
- Proficiency in handling raw materials.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $60000.00/yr.
