Job DescriptionManufacturing Engineer (Electro-Mechanical)Overview
We are seeking a hands-on and versatile Manufacturing Engineer with a strong background in electro-mechanical systems to support New Product Introduction (NPI) and provide technical leadership throughout the product lifecycle. This role bridges the gap between design and production, ensuring manufacturing processes are efficient, scalable, and aligned with product and quality requirements.
The ideal candidate is comfortable interpreting complex technical data packages and collaborating with cross-functional teams and external suppliers to resolve technical challenges and drive successful product launches.
Key ResponsibilitiesNPI Support
- Collaborate with R&D, design, and supply chain teams to transition products from development into production.
- Develop, validate, and implement manufacturing processes for new products, including tooling, fixtures, and assembly methods.
- Participate in design reviews to ensure manufacturability, scalability, and cost-effectiveness (DFM).
Technical Data Package (TDP) Support
- Interpret and clarify engineering documentation, including drawings, PCBA schematics, BOMs, and specifications.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for technical questions related to TDPs for internal teams and suppliers.
- Ensure all documentation is accurate, complete, and production-ready.
Process Engineering
- Define, implement, and optimize assembly and test processes for electro-mechanical systems.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for production issues.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing principles.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with procurement, quality, and supplier engineering teams to align on technical and production requirements.
- Support supplier onboarding, capability assessments, and technical training.
- Work closely with design and R&D teams to ensure products are optimized for manufacturability.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably within electro-mechanical, aerospace, or defense environments.
- Strong knowledge of NPI processes and design-for-manufacturing (DFM) principles.
- Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, GD&T, PCBA schematics, and BOMs.
- Experience with CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks) and data management systems (e.g., PDM, Autodesk Vault, SW Composer).
- Solid understanding of electro-mechanical assembly processes.
- Hands-on experience with manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, injection molding, sheet metal fabrication, 3D printing, and composites.
- Experience working with suppliers and contract manufacturers.
- Familiarity with ERP and PLM systems.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of IPC standards and electronics manufacturing best practices.
- Hands-on experience with assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of electro-mechanical systems.
- Lean Six Sigma certification or equivalent process improvement training.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $125000.00/yr.
