As a key member of the educational team, you will work onsite for 37.5 hours each week, engaging with high schoolers to help them achieve their academic and personal goals. Qualifications & Experience:
- Current Pennsylvania Special Education Teaching Certification (required)
- Experience teaching or student-teaching in special education at the high school level
- Strong classroom management, organizational, and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to tailor instruction to meet individual students’ needs
- Collaborative attitude and willingness to work with fellow educators, specialists, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students
- Adapt lesson plans and instructional strategies to accommodate various learning styles
- Provide direct instruction and classroom support to students with special needs
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment that promotes student confidence and success
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with state and school guidelines
- Collaborate regularly with colleagues, families, and support personnel
