What You’ll Own:
As a Technical Sales Representative, you’ll be a key player in helping our customers solve complex problems through custom-engineered component solutions. You’ll build meaningful partnerships with OEMs and contract manufacturers, and you’ll get hands-on with customer challenges, leveraging Lakeview’s technical capabilities to deliver tailored results.
This role includes regular travel throughout the Midwest and surrounding regions, based on customer needs. You'll visit current accounts, develop new ones, and spend time in the field understanding what matters most to your customers.
In this role, you will:
- Be directly responsible for territory growth and account expansion
- Prospect and qualify new opportunities
- Engage with engineers and buyers to understand customer needs and offer fit-for-purpose solutions
- Drive measurable revenue through prospecting and solution-selling
- Use your technical knowledge (which we’ll help you build!) to connect customer challenges to Lakeview’s capabilities
- Collaborate with our internal teams (engineering, production, purchasing) to scope, quote, and deliver
- Visit customer sites regularly to deepen partnerships, offer support, and grow accounts
- Track and forecast opportunities in our CRM, ensuring clean, timely forecasting
- Gather market intelligence and bring actionable insights back to the team
- Collaborate on and execute against sales and customer growth plans.

Success in this role means consistently building pipeline, opening and expanding customer accounts, and solving engineering challenges that lead to measurable, long-term growth.
To be successful in this role you must have:
- Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of B2B/OEM manufacturing sales experience
- Experience with mechanical components—rubber, foam, plastic, or fabricated products preferred
- A proven ability to identify, close, and grow accounts
- Ability to travel for client visits, industry events, and trade shows
- Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation (travel vehicle not provided)
- A “hunter” mindset and the resilience to pursue long sales cycles
- CRM and sales tool proficiency as well as proficiency in Microsoft office tools (outlook, PowerPoint, word, excel)
- Self-motivation and independence, you drive your own results
