Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A specialized teaching opportunity is available for experienced Special Education Teachers with a moderate license at the secondary level. These full-time contract positions serve students in grades 6 through 12 at two distinct locations, providing a rewarding environment to apply your expertise in supporting diverse learners.
Position Details:
- Location 1: High School setting, catering to 9th-12th grade students
- Two full-time positions available
- Contract duration: Until June 2026
- Hours: 7:30 AM to 2:10 PM
- Location 2: Middle School setting, serving 6th-8th grade students
- One full-time position available
- Contract duration: Until March 2026
- Hours: 7:50 AM to 2:40 PM
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Moderate Special Education teaching license
- Proven experience teaching secondary level students
- Strong knowledge of instructional strategies tailored for students with diverse learning needs
- Ability to collaborate effectively with school staff and support student growth
- Commitment to creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Responsibilities Include:
- Developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Delivering differentiated instruction to meet diverse student needs
- Monitoring and documenting student progress
- Collaborating with general education teachers, counselors, and families to support student success
- Participating in team meetings and professional development sessions
