Safety Manager

Position Overview
The Safety Manager is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the safety protocols and compliance on construction sites. This role involves developing safety policies, conducting training, and ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement safety policies and procedures for construction projects.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits on job sites.
  • Provide safety training and orientation for employees and subcontractors.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents to determine causes and prevent future occurrences.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.
  • Collaborate with project managers to integrate safety into project planning and execution.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety training, inspections, and incidents.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in safety management within the construction industry.
  • Certified Health and Safety Technician (CHST) certification.
  • OSHA 30-hour and OSHA 500 certifications are preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of NFPA standards and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
