Doctoral degree in Audiology (Au.D.), active Audiolist license and 1+ years Audiologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A school-based audiology role is available for a licensed professional in the San Antonio, TX area. This contract position requires approximately 15 hours per week, typically scheduled over two days, preferably Wednesdays and Thursdays. The primary location of service will be Mission Academy, with additional visits scheduled throughout the district to support itinerant teachers and their students.
Key responsibilities include conducting audiological assessments, fitting and repairing hearing aids, and collaborating with school staff to ensure students receive appropriate auditory support. The role requires flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of school-age children within the district.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Audiology
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in school settings or equivalent
- ASHA certification (waiver available for ASHA-certified individuals)
- State licensure to practice audiology and to fit and repair hearing aids
- Successful passage of required professional exams
- Experience working with school-aged children in an educational environment preferred
Additional Requirements:
- Completion of fingerprinting and background check processes
- Ability to coordinate with district staff and manage an itinerant caseload effectively
