Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel CT Technologist for a 13-week night shift assignment in a freestanding emergency department CT/X-Ray unit in Houston, TX, requiring ARRT and CT certifications with at least 1 year of experience.
Details
- Located in a freestanding emergency department (FSED) setting with fewer than 20 beds
- CT/X-Ray department covering all ordered ED X-Ray and CT exams
- 1:1 patient ratio
- Fixed and portable imaging equipment in use
- EMR: Meditech Expanse
- 3x12 hour night shifts, Thursday through Saturday, 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM
- Weekends are variable
- No floating required
Requirements
- ARRT (R) and CT certifications required
- BLS certification required (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
- Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in CT/X-Ray
- Allied health candidates must have at least 6 months of active experience within the last 6 months in this role
- US SSN and date of birth required for consideration — Canadian SSNs are not accepted
- One professional reference required (two required if licensed in Florida or Missouri)
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Performs all ordered emergency department X-Ray and CT examinations
- Trauma facility experience is a plus
- A collaborative, team-oriented mindset is important for success in this role
- Green scrubs required
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — no local candidates will be considered
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
