About the Role:

The Librarian plays a pivotal role in creating an exceptional guest experience by expertly crafting a wide variety of cocktails and beverages. This position requires a deep knowledge of mixology, drink presentation, and customer service to ensure patrons enjoy both the taste and ambiance of the establishment. The bartender is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area while adhering to all safety and hygiene standards. Additionally, the role involves engaging with customers to provide personalized recommendations and foster a welcoming environment. Ultimately, the Cocktail Bartender contributes significantly to the venue’s reputation and success by delivering high-quality drinks and memorable service.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a bartender or in a similar role within a hospitality environment.
  • Knowledge of standard cocktail recipes, drink mixing techniques, and bar equipment operation.
  • Valid alcohol service certification or license as required by local regulations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Formal training or certification in mixology or bartending.
  • Experience working in high-volume or upscale bar settings.
  • Knowledge of craft cocktails, spirits, and emerging beverage trends.
  • Basic understanding of inventory management and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
  • Multilingual abilities to serve a diverse clientele.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve a diverse range of cocktails, spirits, beers, and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences.
  • Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, taking orders, answering questions about the menu, and making personalized drink recommendations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware, utensils, and equipment, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management to ensure the bar is consistently stocked with necessary ingredients and materials.
  • Handle cash and electronic payments accurately, balancing the cash register at the end of each shift and reporting any discrepancies.
