Position Summary
A growing Miami-based manufacturer of refrigerated and frozen desserts is seeking an experienced Pastry Chef with a strong background in production and manufacturing environments.
This role blends hands-on pastry expertise with production leadership, ensuring recipe consistency, quality, efficiency, and food safety at scale.

Key Responsibilities

Lead daily production of refrigerated and frozen dessert lines

Prepare, scale, and execute pastry recipes with consistent quality and yields

Standardize formulations, batch sheets, and production procedures

Oversee mixing, baking, assembly, filling, portioning, and packaging

Supervise and train a small production team (2 staff members)

Ensure compliance with FDA, DOA, GMP, and HACCP standards

Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety across production areas

Monitor ingredient usage, yields, and waste reduction

Collaborate on process improvements to increase efficiency and consistency
Qualifications

2+ years of experience as a Pastry Chef or Senior Pastry Cook in production, commissary, or manufacturing settings

Experience with high-volume or industrial dessert production (not restaurant-only)

Strong technical pastry skills with precise scaling and batching

Knowledge of food safety systems (FDA, GMP, HACCP)
