Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist position is available to provide specialized support in a K-12 educational setting within a public school district near Washington, DC. This role offers a contracted opportunity from January 5, 2026, to May 29, 2026, with full-time hours of 37.5 per week, Monday through Friday. Part-time candidates who can commit to at least 20 hours weekly will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy services to elementary and middle school students.
- Manage a caseload typically ranging up to 50 students, with no more than 2 school assignments.
- Collaborate with educational staff to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Maintain compliance with district and state requirements, providing documentation as necessary.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and supervision as applicable.
Qualifications:
- Active Virginia Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) licensure is required.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; candidates in their Clinical Fellowship year are welcome and will receive supervision.
- Willingness to work in a K-12 school environment; previous school experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Ability to manage a caseload consistent with school district guidelines.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
