What’s a typical day as a Shipping Specialist? You’ll be:

• Prepare and ship all outbound shipments including parcel, freight, and international

• Process outgoing shipments using UPS, FedEx and other various shipping software and/or customer portals

• Utilize computer systems, ERP software, and Microsoft Office software including email, word, excel.

• Prepare all outbound pallets for shipment including finishing, wrapping, and palletizing of product

• Operate powered industrial trucks including forklifts, powered jacks, etc.

• Accurately complete all necessary paperwork for all outbound shipments

• Take calls and setup delivery appointments for all outbound shipments

• Load and unload delivery trucks

• Follow DOT regulations and safety standards

• Assist Receiving as needed

• Maintain a clean and safe environment

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

• Have a high school diploma or equivalent

• Have at least 2 years of experience with forklifts and working in shipping

• Have experience processing outgoing shipments using UPS, FedEx and other shipping software and/or customer portals

• Have intermediate knowledge of PC and database programs, including ERP systems, printing labels, word processing, excel spreadsheets, and Outlook

• Have effective verbal and written communication skills

• Have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and occasionally lift up to 65 lbs.

• Have the ability to move and position yourself to operate on, under, and around machines
