About the Role:
As a Registered Nurse at Sunbright, you will play a critical role in delivering comprehensive nursing care to patients across various clinical settings. Your primary objective will be to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans to promote optimal health outcomes. You will provide direct patient care, including wound management and telemetry monitoring, while educating patients and their families about health conditions and treatment plans. Advocating for patient needs and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams will be essential to ensure holistic and effective care delivery. Ultimately, your expertise will contribute to enhancing patient safety, comfort, and recovery through evidence-based nursing practices.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the practicing state or jurisdiction.
- Completion of an accredited nursing program (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Demonstrated experience in direct patient care within a medical/surgical or telemetry setting.
- Strong knowledge of nursing care principles, patient advocacy, and wound care management.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
- Advanced certifications such as Certified Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (CMSRN) or Telemetry Nursing Certification.
- Experience working alongside Nurse Practitioners or in advanced practice nursing roles.
- Certification in Patient Education or Chronic Disease Management.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and healthcare informatics.
Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough patient assessments and document findings accurately to inform care planning.
- Administer medications, treatments, and wound care according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patients using telemetry equipment to detect and respond to changes in cardiac status.
- Educate patients and their families on disease management, post-discharge care, and health promotion strategies.
- Advocate for patient rights and needs, ensuring ethical and compassionate care is maintained at all times.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations, safety standards, and infection control policies.
- Participate in continuous professional development and quality improvement initiatives.
