Marketing and Business Development Specialist
About the Role
The Marketing and Business Development Specialist plays a critical role in advancing our growth strategy by executing the objectives outlined in the Business Development Plan. This position is responsible for cultivating new client relationships, expanding partnerships with architecture and engineering firms and business partners, and representing our business at industry events. The Specialist will collaborate with internal teams and external resources to develop compelling marketing materials that support business development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the Executive Vice President to develop Annual Business Development Plan.
- Serve as the primary driver of new business opportunities, including identifying and pursuing potential clients.
- Maintain and execute a rolling 30/60/90-day action plan outlining strategic business development activities.
- Attend conferences, trade shows, and industry events to build relationships and represent our company.
- Collaborate with marketing and administrative teams to develop proposals, presentations, and other collateral.
- Utilize CRM platform to track activities, manage leads, and document opportunities on a weekly basis.
- Maintain regular communication with the EVP and management team regarding progress and priorities.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support business development and marketing efforts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of business development or client relationship experience.
- Proven ability to achieve business and market growth goals.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and work effectively with all levels of staff.
- Solutions-focused mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity and adjust quickly to unexpected changes.
